Retro nurseries

While on the lookout for inspiration for the boys' nursery I came across these lovely retro style nurseries. I love those bold 70's fabrics and wallpapers. Not sure yet how I can add a bit of that style to my nursery though. Maybe I need to keep on browsing for some fabric...

Showcase your little artist's work

Since the little one has started her playgroup she brings home all these cute art pieces. I have simply put a sisal ribbon around the mirror in the dining room and wooden clothes-pegs keep the art work in place. You can easily add more pieces or remove and rearrange them...

Counting sheep

I remember the brand Oilily from  my childhood days. How interesting to see that they are still in business. Also check out Inhabitots for loads of green products and ideas. And in order to make your little one fall asleep more easily hang those cute little sheep over her cot so she can count them every evening!

Bright teddy bears

A couple of bright fun teddy bears. The first one is a cool recycling project for baby socks. Just spend a couple minutes and make one! And how lovely is the family bear print! And last not least the super cute bears made of fabric.

It's bunny time

Today I have a couple of lovely little bunnies for you. I have actually made those felt bunnies for Easter last year:

Here is the link with the instructions how to make them: Felt Bunnies

I think those little bunnies from Ocechou are really really gorgeous. Check out their other stuff as well. It's super nice too. And for the creative people there is Purlbee again with some bunny patterns.

More chirping

More stylish and cute birds for the nursery walls or on fabric. It's twittering everywhere! What a lovely theme for a little bird lover. Even though it's very romantic a little boy might like them too.

Inspiring walls

A few more inspiring ideas for the nursery walls. The first one is about the very hungry caterpillar and its transformation into a butterfly. So you can read the caterpillar story to your child and follow it on the walls at the same time.
The second one is a lovely print with your child's name on it. So cute!
And the third idea suggests that you take a photo or scan of your little one's art work and make a collage out of them. That's a fantastic idea!

Cute stuff for the wall

Isn't the Studio Violet poster gorgeous? All those beautiful little characters! And I like the colour scheme. It's soothing and relaxing - ideal for a bedroom.
The mushroom clock wall sticker on the other hand is bright and fun. Not soothing but also an eye catcher for a nursery wall.
And for those who like it monochromatic penguin mum and her little one are the ideal match. And so cute you could cuddle them right away if it wasn't a wallsticker...

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed...

Via: http://www.bholu.com/collections/?section=shop&category=kids&product=3730252

These quirky monkeys are perfect for little acrobats. And calmer children will most probably love them as much either. They are just some funny pals.

Oh deer!

This post goes to all deer lovers out there.

This brightly patterned deer has little hooks for hanging your little one's clothes or toys.

Here are some more little deers for the nursery. This is probably more a girl's theme but an adorable one. I love the white cushion with the deer print. I have also seen it in other animal styles.

Another cute bambi wall sticker.

Mushroom Soup

 Via: http://www.wallpaperdirect.co.uk/products/ferm-living/mushroom-soup/71620

Mushrooms have been a favourite theme of mine for a while. They have this fairytaly "Little Red Riding Hood" touch. And are a nice diversion of the animal theme. I was so in love with the Ferm Living wallpaper that I made a potatoe printed wallpaper for my daughter's nursery (see below). It's now covering the not so beautiful door of her nursery.
