Baby Gap is now in Hong Kong

GAP has finally opened it's Central shop. But I am a bit disappointed. Too much pink, tulle and glitzy items for my taste (OK the boy's stuff is something different). Plus their winter collection is made for a snowy US or Canadian market but we still have t-shirt weather here in Hong Kong so who needs furry vests? I was tempted by one of them though, yes they are soooo cute, but it really makes no sense! So let's wait for their summer collection.

No-pedal bike

Source: http://www.itsimagical.hk

At the moment I am in love with this no-pedal bike. I found it at itsimagical. The price is also great at least when I compare it to what I have seen elsewhere in Hong Kong. But I guess we should wait until our daughter turns two. At the moment it's still a bit too challenging for her.

Advent calendar

My mum in law has made this gorgeous Advent calendar for our 18 month old daughter. Now I am thinking of what to put in it. Healthy little snacks such as raisins and other dried fruit seem perfect. Maybe some cookies (it's Christmas time after all) and some little toys...

I already bought some stamps because she loves them so much and small pretzels will be in the pockets too and also some lady fingers and as said before the raisins. Now I have only eight pockets left over. Let's see what I can get for them...

Hong Kong themed T-Shirts

I just bought this lovely Hong Kong themed taxi T-Shirt for my daughter. This is actually a really cool idea! Also have a look at the other fantastic designs at little local. I am tempted to buy the tram and the star ferry too...

Christmas wishlist

I'm in love with this play kitchen from IKEA. It looks exactly like the one they have in store for the grown-ups. I think we will get one for our daughter as Christmas present. We went to a toddler party a few weeks ago and all kids were happily playing with the toy kitchen, the 9 month old baby loved it and the 5 year old even so.

And look at all the beautiful accessories you can get from IKEA too.

The girl's room

We just moved into our new flat and that meant that our little girl got a new bigger room all to herself. This time I tried to stick with reds for the colour concept.

The cot, the white shelf and the wardrobe are from IKEA whereas the Chinese cabinet is from a local Hong Kong dealer. The fuchsia curtains are made from Laura Ashley fabric. The sand coloured curtains are bedspreads from IKEA. The change table is also from IKEA but we removed the lower shelf in order to make it fit into the bathroom.

ZARA boots for my daughter

I was looking for soft leather boots for my daughter. And I didn't want to spend a fortune. After a couple of rounds through different shops I finally found these at ZARA. They are soft and come with a flexible rubber sole. And the price tag didn't make me go blind. So I brought them home tonight and my daughter didn't want to take them off anymore. So mummy and daughter are happy!

Anne Claire Petit Tea Set

Source: Born to

This beautiful tea set arrived last week at our place from the UK. Taking advantage of the weak British pound I made a good bargain compared to prices for Anne Claire Petit items for sale in Hong Kong. OK, there was the shipping fee but altogether it was still a good deal. And my daughter is so happy to play tea time with it...

Cool jumper with umbrella

Source: Bobo choses

I am in love with this little jumper. I was considering to make one for my daughter. Just need to find a plain grey jumper first. Maybe H&M or ZARA? And GAP is going to open in Hong Kong soon. Need to check out what they have for babies...
