We love Miffy

Do you know MIFFY the little cute bunny by Dutch designer Dick Bruna? My daughter and I love her! We just bought these two little storybooks. So MIFFY's adventures are part of our bedtime routine now.

Janod stacking pyramid

Our daughter turned two on May 9 and we had her birthday party last weekend. She got lots of presents. One of them was this super cute stacking set of triangular cubes. The little ones can either use them for building or stacking. My daughter uses them for counting...

While on the lookout for inspiration for the boys' nursery I came across these lovely retro style nurseries. I love those bold 70's fabrics and wallpapers. Not sure yet how I can add a bit of that style to my nursery though. Maybe I need to keep on browsing for some fabric...

I am totally hooked on clouds at the moment! So I will try to make a cloud mobile for the boy's change table. And I am also thinking of making some cloud appliques for a blanket... Maybe I could even print my own cloud fabric?

Inspiration for the boys' room

I was browsing the internet for ideas for the boys' room. IKEA + Children gave these stunning results:

I love the colours. So I have decided to spice up the blue guestroom (which will become the boys' room) with a little bit of yellow. Only problem. The STUVA storage system is not exactly yellow but lime green...

This is such a great storage idea. I already had on mind to use fabric boxes for the boys' clothes. But how lovely are those little tags!

This is definitely a design I want to copy. I already bought the frame boards in order to use them as book shelves. What a beautiful way to showcase lovely books.

Christmas fun with the little ones

Have some fun with Christmas preparations this year and get the little ones involved! Cookie cutting, using stamps for decorating, playing with dough, smelling spices, checking out the Christmas decoration... just let them try one of them for a start! Fun is guaranteed!

The girl's room

We just moved into our new flat and that meant that our little girl got a new bigger room all to herself. This time I tried to stick with reds for the colour concept.

The cot, the white shelf and the wardrobe are from IKEA whereas the Chinese cabinet is from a local Hong Kong dealer. The fuchsia curtains are made from Laura Ashley fabric. The sand coloured curtains are bedspreads from IKEA. The change table is also from IKEA but we removed the lower shelf in order to make it fit into the bathroom.

Nightlights and puppies

There's a trend for modern stylish deco objects for children. I just bought the cute Lumilove rabbit for my daughter. It constantly changes the colour glowing in all rainbow colours. I also like the minimalist Oxo Candela little creatures from outer space. Both nightlights come with LED lights and can be used without batteries or plugs. Just charge them once and enjoy hours of colourful glow.
The Magis puppy is also very minimalist and trendy. We own a white little fellow (see the last picture). I was very impressed when I found that super modern fuchsia and white girl's room. The little puppy fits perfectly into the ambiance!

Toys or colourful decoration?

These are not only toys they also make for really cool decoration. You can even sew the gorgeous cuddle cows yourself. Just follow the instructions given in the link. And the last photo gives a little forecast on Easter deco. Lovely, isn't it? Maybe I will paint a bodysuit for my daughter this year for Easter...

Counting sheep

I remember the brand Oilily from  my childhood days. How interesting to see that they are still in business. Also check out Inhabitots for loads of green products and ideas. And in order to make your little one fall asleep more easily hang those cute little sheep over her cot so she can count them every evening!
