Bird cushions & Co

If you like sewing these are some great toys and cushions to make. Purlbee has loads of great DIY projects. But you can also buy those kinds of cushions of course. E.g. Etsy is a great place to look for them.

Cute mobiles

Here come a few mobiles with bird themes. The first two are handmade and can be bought and the last one is a DIY project. I think they are all super cute! Also check out the other mobiles of the two shops. Very wonderful stuff!

Owls on fabric

More adorable little owls. This time they come on fabric. I love them all. One day I have to make an onesie with an owl print myself...

Inspiring walls

A few more inspiring ideas for the nursery walls. The first one is about the very hungry caterpillar and its transformation into a butterfly. So you can read the caterpillar story to your child and follow it on the walls at the same time.
The second one is a lovely print with your child's name on it. So cute!
And the third idea suggests that you take a photo or scan of your little one's art work and make a collage out of them. That's a fantastic idea!

Cute stuff for the wall

Isn't the Studio Violet poster gorgeous? All those beautiful little characters! And I like the colour scheme. It's soothing and relaxing - ideal for a bedroom.
The mushroom clock wall sticker on the other hand is bright and fun. Not soothing but also an eye catcher for a nursery wall.
And for those who like it monochromatic penguin mum and her little one are the ideal match. And so cute you could cuddle them right away if it wasn't a wallsticker...

Moomin characters

Via: http://sofia.pulp.se/search/moomin

My favourite comic characters: The Moomins! And now they also come as a decoration for mugs and walls. So cute!

I just bought my daughter a picture book with the Moomins. It's super lovely and even my 5 month old adores it! It teaches the numbers 1-10 with absolutely beautiful images.

Little artists

Via: http://www.vtwonen.nl/tips-en-trucs/instant-styling/

A nice little bag for paper and crayons to go. So that little artists can perform whereever you take them and you have at least some calm intervals.
The second image is about a little window zoo. Get your little one involved into the decoration and the outcome will be loved by the both of you!

Fun food

Here are some great fun ideas for food. Isn't the little deer in the forest gorgeous? I have made a similar forest for my hubby's birthday and he loved it. And how about the little snowman? That's a fun game for every party. Just buy fruit gummi and toothpicks and then start shaping little creatures with your friends and kids. For the bread puzzle all you need is a food punch. I bet your little one will eat his bread with a lot more enthusiasm!

Eames 'Hang it all'

Via: http://www.car-moebel.de/docs/shop.aspx?domid=1087&id=38013&aid=165040&cid=721

I am a big fan of Ray and Charles Eames. And those bright hooks are a perfect match for the nursery in my eyes. So for my little one's next room we will definitely get one.

Lovely DIY projects

A few little DIY projects from a Dutch and a German magazine. If you can't understand Dutch or German you can try the Google translator (http://translate.google.com/). You can enter text or just the link to the page and it will show you the page in English, very cool!
But now to the DIY projects. Isn't the baby blanket gorgeous? And I love the kids' yogurt deco lights. What a simple and fab idea! The second project doesn't have a description, so you have to become creative yourself. Buy some wire and make a heart shape wire hanger. Then get a nice shawl or sew a piece of nice fabric and decorate it over the hanger. The last project is about cute fabric covered hangers. I always wanted to make some but somehow haven't got to it yet...

Deco toys

Of course your littles ones can play with these beautiful toys but they are also a great deco find. I love wooden toys and fortunately my daughter shares my taste but more for the texture not so much for the style I am afraid. The vintage style little red riding hood doll and the wolf are also lovely. I am a big fan of the comeback of handmade fabric dolls and plush toys. I made an elephant family for my daughter from bright IKEA fabric which also makes for a great deco.

Change table inspiration

A little bit of inspiration for the change table. You don't really need to worry about buying one, you can just transform an existing chest of drawers into a change table. All you need is the changing mat. You can get it from most baby stores and even IKEA has an inflatable one.
Since my chest of drawers was a bit too high I bought a change table from IKEA. The good thing about it is that its dimensions are not very large and it's lightweight so we have now moved it into the bathroom making cleaning a lot easier in case there has been a little accident...

Cots and Cribs

These are a few images of my favourite cots and cribs. The cardboard crib is not only eco-friendly but also really stylish I think. And how about the gorgeous butterfly mobile? Or if you prefer it a bit more rustic try the wooden crib. Not your style? Then how about the super modern nursery in the last image? This is a nursery for a little interior designer!
